I know. You’re counting down the days until we can all go outside again, spend quality time together and maybe even plan a trip beyond the one we all keep making to and from the refrigerator. Trust me, I’m right there with you on team quarantine. Truth is though, we don’t know how much longer the Coronavirus will linger or the real timeline of these stay-at-home orders. What we do have control over though, is how we handle it all. I’m choosing to err on the side of optimism and venturing out from right here in my bedroom. You’d be surprised at how far a simple google search and a little imagination can take you. Get comfy, because we’re going on a trip… No suitcases, passports or face masks necessary.
Sagrada Familia
I can’t see this place without getting heart eyes. It’s one of my absolute must-see places when in Barcelona, Spain. Sagrada Familia is a Roman Catholic church brought to life by my favorite architect, Antoni Gaudí. The man’s a genius and the mastermind behind many of Barcelona’s stunning Catalan modernism architecture. This brilliant work of art will have you in awe… even from your computer screen. Click the image below, move it around and see for yourself!
Tikal
Temples and palaces and ruins oh my! Tikal National Park in Guatemala has it all and then some. It’s an ancient Mayan fortress said to be occupied from the 6th century B.C. to the 10th century A.D. You know what to do. Click the pic and explore this natural beauty!
Muli Kandu
No, it’s not a scene from Finding Nemo, but close. This diver’s paradise is between Boli Mulah and Muli island. The currents are said to be strong, so it’s not for the inexperienced. This time around, you can forget about the wet suit and deep ocean skills. Dive in below!
Jasovska Cave
Crawl into the depths of the Slovak Karst mountain ranges of Slovakia and there you will find this fascinating limestone cave and archaeological site. Try to keep your jaw from dropping. I know… It’s a masterpiece.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
One of the worlds largest mosques and the biggest in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Needless to say, the religious grounds are breathtaking. Both worshippers and tourists are welcome to enter at no cost and since you’re here virtually, you can stay as long as you’d like.
Palace of Versailles
This French royal residence always reminds me of an AP European history class. Let’s fawn together over the most iconic room in the Palace, the Hall of Mirrors. This is the kind of foyer mirror selfie dreams are made of!
Great Barrier Reef
Another one you’ve probably heard of in your grade school text books, but maybe never visited. What better time to dive into the world’s largest coral reef system than now. It’s located off the coast of Queensland, Australia but no need to buy a flight just yet… It’ll probably be canceled anyways.
Park and National Palace of Pena
It’s not hard to tell why this castle is one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. The Pena Palace sits stunningly in São Pedro de Penaferrim, in the municipality of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera. It’s a mouth full, but SO worth mentioning. Take a stroll around, you’ll see why.
Strada Provinciale, Italy
You know you’re beautiful when you’re just a road and you STILL make the list. I mean, come on… The views are like something from a postcard. Keep your eyes open on this ride. I’d hate for you to miss what’s known as one of the world’s best coastal drives.

Hey gorgeous you!! ??
Such a nice and refined blog, and a wonderful reflection of yourself.
Thanks for taking us to some of these wonderful places. Now, I was really excited that you mentioned Palácio da Penha in Portugal. I went there when my two older kids were smaller, and we enjoyed it very much. I am currently living in Portugal, so if you haven’t already been there, when all of this quarantine is over and you have a chance to come I will be more than happy to take you there, you will love it in person.
In the meantime stay safe, take care of yourself and continue to delight us with these wonderful virtual trips.
Lots of love ??❤️❤️
